Designed for seniors, employees, and individuals returning to driving, this 1.5 to 2-hour on-road evaluation covers a variety of traffic scenarios. Whether you are a family member concerned about an aging parent or an employer verifying staff safety, our certified evaluators provide a detailed written report and recommendations.

Please Note: This is a skills-based assessment. We do not perform clinical medical evaluations for conditions such as advanced dementia or acute stroke recovery.

What Is a Driver Evaluation?

Lord Ashley Driving School offers a basic driver on-road evaluation that is designed for a test of basic driving skills and habits. This course is not for evaluating dementia, stroke or other ailments that would be better evaluated with a medical clinical evaluation. Evaluees will be guided through a series of situations to test their current abilities as well as given instruction in current best driving practices.

This evaluation stresses safe driving techniques but will address any legal driving issues. If you think this is the evaluation you need, please contact our office for a consultation and scheduling.

Important Notice

This evaluation is not designed for evaluating dementia, stroke, or other medical ailments. These conditions would be better evaluated with a medical clinical evaluation. Please consult with a healthcare professional for medical assessments.

License Requirement

Driver's license must not be revoked or suspended to participate in this evaluation.

Course Requirements

Duration: 1.5 - 2 Hours

Comprehensive on-road evaluation typically lasting between 90 minutes to 2 hours.

Multiple Driving Situations

Covers various driving scenarios and roadway styles to thoroughly assess abilities.

Written Recommendation

Detailed written assessment provided to family, evaluee, or doctor upon completion.

Valid License Required

Driver's license must not be revoked or suspended to participate.

  • Parking and Parking Lots - Maneuvering skills in confined spaces and parking lot navigation
  • Residential Areas - Neighborhood driving, pedestrian awareness, and speed management
