Individual Driving Lessons
aLord Ashley Driving School offers individualized, one‑on‑one driving lessons for adults and beginners who want to gain confidence and master essential driving skills. Each session is customized to your experience level, allowing you to learn at your own pace in a supportive environment. Our certified instructors provide personal pickup and drop‑off, detailed instruction on key maneuvers such as parking, lane changes, and turns, and full preparation for the South Carolina road test. Whether you’re refreshing your knowledge, learning new techniques, or preparing to get your license, our adult‑oriented lessons help you become a safe and confident driver. Communication in English is required, and lessons are tailored for adults, though teens under 17 can register for our certified driver education program. Who Are Individual Lessons For?
These lessons are primarily for those adult drivers / beginners with some driving experience who want to become more proficient and confident and/or learn what is expected on the road test. Typically, the student is picked up at home/work/school or a pre-determined location. Each lesson is one-on-one which allows the instructor to assess and address the student's specific needs.
Language Requirement
The self-paced nature of these lessons require communication between the student and instructor. A fluent understanding of the English language is required.
Teen Students (Under Age 17)
Students under age 17 must complete the beginner course (8 hour classroom & 6 hours in-car training) to be eligible for these lessons. South Carolina law requires 15 & 16 year old to complete a certified driver education course which includes 8 hours classroom and 6 hours behind the wheel training.
